Another thought on our bills

Last summer Doc was stalling on a contract. He was famously one of those players whose drop in wages as he dropped a division wasn't quite as significant as publicised. He did then sign up, smiles all round. Presumably that was a well-negotiated contract where he would have lower wages than before owing to our more prudent approach. Or was Doc seen as a great opportunity to lift us out of the championship and given a big rise.

I've no idea. And this isn't a go at Doc who has performed well this season but it does make me wonder, again, as to how effective our wage structure is. And, of course, we would have paid an agent's fee - another ludicrous situation.
