I think it is worse now

and has been getting worse for the last few years. I was shocked how quiet it was on Saturday, bearing in mind the importance of the game.

I also think the 'we get 25K therefore we should be entertained' mentality is part of the problem.

It is so clear that a team that support can raise a team's performance and intimidate the oppostion. We saw it again and again during the promotion season. Even when we went behind.

If we could be loud and intimiating for 90 minutes then maybe we would play a bit better and maybe we would win.

The divisions between the fans and the general lack of support are part of the vicious circle of decline that we are in.
