but if a trading entity wishes to attempt to survive a situation in which it can't pay its way, there's no alternative to a CVA.

One of the things in football that makes it not an easy option is a points deduction - for which you can blame Leicester, who went into administration rather settle some expensive contracts, created a new company that wasn't legally responsible for those debts and continued playing without suffering.
