Ka and Festas are good little cars...

..Ka is a nippy little car if you get 1.4. They are quite loud on the motorway and there's not much in the way of headroom or a back seat. The stereo is alright sat in the front awful if in the back. As for maintaining and running repairs, it's not to bad lights are easy enough, main engine bits are easy to get to (haynes manuals are always useful) the hardest thing I've done to a KA is change the wheel in the pouring rain, a 10 minute job took nearly half an hour, the spare is under the car (fair enough) the problem is accessing it, this involves involves contorting your wrist in the boot to turn a lever that has been put there by machines.

Fiesta MK6/7 like the Ka are cheap now that they have been superseded and I mention it purely because it has a better speaker and running repairs are easier. Both cars are basically kit cars but the Fiesta is just a walk in the park for everything. The noise in the cabin is also considerably better.
