Academys don't produce masses of players. Not at a club our size.
We've had Green, Shackell, Martin, Spillane recently, that's actually not that bad a return.
Martin has the talent, but needs to sort himself out, and also needed to be better managed by both previous managers.
If Gunn can get him and Spillane back and focused next season, after a useful learning period at Luton, that would be a very good return.
Please god do not compare us to what we used to do.
Our young players used to come over from Wales/Ireland or the centre down at potters bar, we just can't do that anymore.
The scum have a real advantage here, with the location they can get kids from in london, pick up what those clubs miss.
