I have a certain sympathy with the view that

as they are majority shareholders they can't be sacked, so what would be the point. But then so was Chase I suppose, and there was a huge campaign to get rid of him.

I guess the reason there isn't one to get rid of Delia is because she's much more vulnerable than Chase and harder to abuse - partly because she's a 60-odd year old woman!

And partly because she's Delia Smith, the woman that taught the nation to cook.

Personally, I think her and the Board could scarcely have done a worse job if they'd tried. Maybe that Ipswich rosette meant something after all!
