Just back from the game! Having taken a credit crunching, eco friendly trip round the

North's glamour spots of Preston, Morcambe and Manchester. This is all probably WW2 now and I haven't been on line, so not sure what the consensus is but here are a few thoughts I had:

1. We really didn't look like scoring.
2. There were loads of (quiet) Norwich fans there and hardly any Preston ones considering they went 4th in the table.
3. I love Croft - he was everywhere!
4. Good to see Norwich's place in footballing history is rightly marked in the Museum. I spotted pictures of inflatable Canaries and 'one of the leagues most dangerous grounds' - the Nest. (The only mention of Ipswich I spotted was a baby's bib.)
5. Shook hands with Roger Munby. (My partner walked past him fearing he was one of those eccentric fans who like to chat to others after the game - we've been caught out before) I said (hopefully) 'Will we be ok?' He said (worryingly) 'Not sure'.
6. Entertained throughout the match by the chap next to us who did an impression of the one in the Fast Show who changes his mind during a sentence ('Shackle you're rubbish...good pass though).
7. Just how many speed cameras does one place need? I've never seen so many as there were in Preston!
