Just got back from the game...

...A poor match between 2 poor sides where Norwich got what they deserved - nothing.

The start of the day was fine, parked close to the ground got some comp tickets (thank you Judy at NCFC) and headed off to the Garrison. The Garrison was alright nice friendly atmosphere, the Beer was god awful though, so we went over to the Sunmers for some more god awful beer.

Then the day went downhill, we could have still been playing now and we wouldn't have scored.

Marshall - Didn't have a great deal to do, made an absolute howler in the first half and we were lcuky not to be punished.
Semmy - I don't know what's happened to him, last season he overlapped well, his passing was ok and he had some composure this season he's been a shadow of that and today was sadly no exception, arguably at fault for the goal though he was left with 2 men. His positioning through the match was poor and he offered Croft no support.
Grounds - Tale of 2 halves first half awful second a vast improvement, needs to work on decision making and distribution.
Shackell - Did ok, he and Doc were guilty of parting allowing PNE players a free run but he dealt with most things. He was lucky to stay on the pitch at the end, it looked like he was fouled but the ref gave it their way and as the last man he should have been off.
Doc - solid as ever this season, dealt with most things, looked alright when he went up for set pieces shame that every time he won a header the strikers didn't challenge.
Croft - Runs and runs and runs and runs, tries his hardest and was great today, needs to work on his delivery but then when he gets a good ball in the strikers haven't kept up with play.
Hooly - Good match, like Croft looked like he was giving his all and like Croft was let down by a lack of support from his back and centre midfielders.
Fozzy - Better than Rusty today, passing across the park was ok and when he chased the PNE players down forced some errors
Rusty - was poor today, can't make a ten yard pass, can't shoot, won't tackle so what's the point?
Cort - Was a donkey today, we didn't have much going forward and 3 times we got in good shooting positions the ball fell to Cort, once he fell over, once he kicked the floor and once he stood on the ball.
Gow - Looks ok when the ball is literally placed on his foot, if it's more than 3 inches away from him he seems to think a dummy is on. Can't make a ten yard pass but looked ok on the ball.

Killen - didn't get much chance to do anything but looked ok
Carney - fast little bugger, maybe worth a bit more than 4 mintues.
JC - I said we could still be playing and we'd never score.

Overall it wasn't a really bad performance just an infuriating, frustrating poor one. There is no, and i shall say it again for emphasis, NO off the ball movement from our players, Corft and Hooly were the only ones who moved off the ball Rusty, Fozzy, Cort and Gow should look at themselves.

Croft and Gunn seemed to be having a bit of a to do at in the last 5 minutes don't know if anything went on but there was a debate i think i'll call it.

The backs need looking at, Semmy needs some competition and I would drop one of Rusty or Fozzy, they looked complacent and Patty should be given a go.

Hopefully Clingan will be back soon, if i can think of anything else I shall add it off.
