Not being funny, but why is it that ex-servicemen so often want the rest of us to
feel sorry for them ? Like you said, it was your job, and you signed up to it.
No-one feels sorry for me that I don't have much job security because I chose a career in IT. And rightly so, as it was something I was aware of before I made that choice.
