Is Gunny a soft touch?
My problem about gun getting the job is,his previous relationship with the players( cue homoerotic responses)...Its difficult enough in a work envioroment, being promoted and the guys who used to play cards with you during breaks now brown nose you for pay rises..but in the football world,to be friends with the players then become their boss just wont work unless you can become callous. But Gunny isnt like that. His personalty is like mine too nice! As proven today with the sale of bell...the first sob story, not even a good one,and gun puts his arm around him and sends him on his way! After injury it took bell, naturally, some games to bed in as it does with most new players...so can we really afford to now allow players to leave who we were probably only just about to see the best of him,and start again bedding in new guys!
