Gunn was appointed because ....

the players wanted him as manager (according to Munby).

So our board are now listening to employees and taking on board their personal choices. Not sure how many other struggling businesses would work that way.

And according to some watchers, the win v Barsnley can be clearly attributed to players wanting to do it for the new manager.

So how do we explain last night, where the players clearly reverted to the attitude generally seen under the previous regime?

Answer; the players want to win every week - after all, their livelihoods depends on it - but they are currently only capable of bursts of excellence, and they are still a bit of a ragtag outfit, short on leadership and striking ability.

I still think we'll survive, but it could be very close.
