when Rob Grant and Doug Naylor did their own individual Red Dwarf novels

it was obvious Rob did all the funny stuff and Doug did the sci-fi

i'd recommend some of Rob's non-RD books, (specifically Fat) but wouldn't even suggest a fan bothers reading Doug's solo effort
