Their ground cost them ?430m...

...and the majority of their debt is tied up in that deal, which similar to ours is on a long-term mortgage type repayments.

Difference between the sides is that they're playing good football, have got European football year on year along with domestic success to get the income through to fund it.

We're a poor side appearing to lack leadership on the pitch, from the touchlines and within the boardroom.

Our fantastic attendances are only as high as they are thanks to an individual we've decided to let go to a League One side and will no doubt drop off over the next couple of seasons.

The starting eleven we put out every week can be made up of seven players that aren't ours and probably would be had Roeder not fallen out with Lupoli. Our most exciting player in recent history was released last season and whilst we weren't happy with that we were at least promised new heroes to replace him...

Next year we need to re-build again (assuming we're allowed to keep some in January!), and with no saleable assets apart from a goalkeeper that's perhaps worth ?1m we're going to struggle for funds to do that.

Finish close to the bottom three again (if we're lucky) and it's two on the spin for the club - who in their right mind would want to come and play on loan for a club in the lower reaches of the Championship? Oh yeah...Middlesbrough, Wigan and Reading cast-offs.

The cycle continues, although income reduces year-on-year as ticket sales drop off. League One's calling, it's just a matter of time.

At least you can get a nice meal before or after the game I suppose...
