In the simplest of terms

1. Towards the end of the fist half Norwich were losing 1-0 and at odds equivalent of 9/2 to win. I.e. we were no favourites.

2. At half time punters in Asia bet significant wads of cash on Norwich winning (it appears) - so much so that our odds at the end of the half time interval had come in to the equivalent of 6/2.

3. it is highly unusual for such large sums of money to be bet on a team that is losing unless there is some reason to suspect that they will turn it around.

4. Such a reason might be the opposition keeper having been sent off and a penalty conceded.

5. However the money was bet BEFORE the opposition keeper was sent off and the penalty conceded.

6. As i understand it under Asian handicap betting rules the bookies would have had to pay out if the match had finished 1-1 so if that was the plan it very nearly worked.

7. If the above is correct and the plan nearly worked. It would have done had we won or possibly even drawn. Marshall's error at the end would have screwed everything up for whoever was behind the scam. Also if the above is correct there is no way norwich would have been involved or trying to lose the game as some might suggest.

8. If the above is not correct then f**k knows what went on!
