What it means to be a City fan. Public apology

Arganth has got to me. I've been too miserable.

Yesterday reminded me why I love NCFC and have ever since my Dad took me to Carrow Road in April 1970. It's because we are a proper club.

I love our ground. Big enough but not too big. We've got a proper club shop but not a bloody megastore. (I could never support a team with a megastore).

I love our history. Great cup runs with Ken Nethercott wearing a woolly jumper and a flat cap, crowds at The Nest almost toppling on to the pitch, heroic failures, Dave Stringer and Duncan Forbes, third time lucky at Wembley, Albert Bennett's white boots, winning in Munich, Trevor Hockey's beard.

I love our colours. Yellow and Green. Almost unique. And our badge. The canary. Bloody great! (preferred the old one, though)

And what a great nickname. The Canaries. Not 'The Reds' or 'The Blues'. Our name. Nobody else's. I love that.

I love our song. On The Ball City. there is simply no other song as good as that at any club. Anywhere.

And Delia. She may have been a bit silly at half-time againsst Man City but she loves our club in a way that no bloody Russian billionaire or American Football franchisee ever could.

And we've got great fans. Home and away. Nice mix of social classes. Regional accents. Not soft but no real thugs. Appreciate good football (except from the scum)

Yes we are a great club and I'd rather be a Norwich fan than support some bloody big multi-national franchise with half the countries in the world represented in the playing ranks (just 90% Scots will do me!)

So I'm backing Granty to turn it round and take us back to happy days. I wish all the players (including Brown!) all the best and I'm casting off my miserable attitude in favour of optimism a la Arganth!
