OK, I'll take this on board.
In my opinion, Robinson is over-rated, self opinionated and chronically crap. He is peripheral, safety first and without an ounce of innovative thought. He produces very little of note, and to my mind 3 decent passes which led to goals and one goal hardly adds up to 12 months worth of whatever we pay him. I remember the "player watch" in the Pink 'Un" some weeks ago where they could find nothing to report between the 34th and the 86th minute of whatever game it was. Says it all really.
However, you make a good point in that I am clearly biassed against him and maybe I should try to get more objective. (By the way he must have given one ball away as he is pretty much seen to be at fault for their goal on Saturday, although that's apparently our fault for expecting the semblance of a footballer to be wearing the vellow and green). But I digress.
So, tomorrow, assuming he is picked, I will do my own player watch and will be on my honour to be objective about his contribution. I will then post my findings sometime on Wednesday.
One thing in Robinson's favour. He's not the only one who could be said to be self opinionated, over rated and chronically crap. I can think of several others and unfortunately a lot of them are alleged to be mid fielders.
