don't you think we lose a bit of 'street-cred' in signing a 37 year old player? More than that, it highlights the total incompetence of our manager who was surely forced into this acquisition by his inability to land a few more suitable players before the transfer window slammed shut on his fingers!
What a pity we didn't lose at Rotherham last night because that scenario plus a defeat against Plymouth on Saturday might have just seen him on his way. Now it appears he has 'bought' himself another four or five games before the next inevitable crisis.
How sad that our Board has not shown similar strength of character to their more experienced counterparts at West Brom and Leeds. Fortune favours the bold they say. No danger of us getting involved in that then!
Neil Doncaster appears to be a footballing man but the rest of the Board just cannot hack it when it comes to a real understanding of soccer. Successful people in business can become right pains when they don't know which way to turn in a game which often demands instant and sometimes painful decisions when the going get's tough.
Maybe the time has indeed come for a complete clear-out. Anybody know any seriously wealthy foreigners?!!
