Royal College of Music at the age of 18 and studied alongside one of my best mates. Just dug out a load of old letters (must have been 50 or more) the other week to get some good material for the best man at her wedding and realised I'd got almost a comprehensive narrative on three years of Aled Jones' social life - who he snogged, what he drank, how he tried to put together a rock band and failed, etc

Judging by the fact he really didn't stand out amongst the other students I'd imagine his new TV career is based purely on his name.
