Shay Given could be sidelined for up to three months following his accidental collision with Marlon Harewood on Sunday. The Newcastle keeper had an emergency operation on a ruptured bowel and has been ordered to rest completely. This means the 30-year-old will remain in a London hospital until he is deemed fit enough to make the 250-mile journey back to the North East.
