Do the players respect the manager?

That's the key question for me. I keep picturing them when they were told we'd sacked Hughton and appointed the youth team coach. Inspired, they wouldn't have been - why would anyone have been?

Then I keep picturing them when we gave the youth team coach the permanent gig. I reckon many of 'em would've just laughed tbh. Typical Norwich.

This is SUCH a tough league. When we last got out of it, it's not like we were one of the favourites, were we? We over-achieved beyond imagination - but the reason for that was balls, attitude, over my dead body. The kind of thing this club has only been known for under Saunders and Lambert.

Under the latter, when we went behind, you knew there was always a way back in; always a chance to come back: even with 10 men. Down to ten on Sunday, how many Norwich fans thought we had the remotest chance of getting something out of the game as soon as we went behind? It was finished right there.

Olsson's behaviour - so out of character, and in the first game of the season? That's indicative of a dreadful malaise right there. And if they don't passionately believe in Adams (but why would they? He's a youth team coach), we have no chance.

It's just... I don't understand why this club is so bloody nice all the time. We're straight back in default Norwich mode now: like the 3 years under Lambert never happened. It just sells this club and especially the fans so, so short. Would any other club in the division (or back in April in the Prem) have thought to themselves, "Norwich have appointed Adams? They'll be one to watch, then"? Of course not.

So it beggars belief that we did it - and even more so that we rewarded someone with 1 point from 15 and who played for a draw at Chelsea when we had to win with the permanent job. I don't understand it. I just do not understand it.
