The top teams have more money than the bottom teams. The bottom teams have to play to a style that is effective at keeping them in the league, as they don't have as many game changing players as the top teams.
This style of staving off relegation is generally not pleasing to watch. The fans get bored, and think that their team should be playing like Manchester City and Chelsea. They call for the manager to be sacked.
The team sack the manager and get relegated...
