One interesting thing about points won by the bottom 8 teams
Lets compare last seasons prediction after 13 games and this season.
Everton 48 Swansea 41
Blackburn 44 WBA 41
Blackpool 44 Fulham 35
Fulham 41 Wolves 32
Wigan 41 Sunderland 32
Brum 38 Bolton 26
Wolves 26 wigan 26
West Ham 26 Blackburn 20
It should be obvious that the bottom 8 teams have a much lower points/game this season.
Meaning the number of points needed to stay up has a much higher probability of being lower than last season.
It took 40 points last season to stay up.
This season its likley to be in the 33-37 point range, meaning 11 wins will be more than enough (with every team getting at least 7 draws a season)
I could see a team staying up with only 9 wins this season.
