I love the diversity that immigration has brought

The first Chinese on Unthank Road, my first curry at Uni in 1973, the gorgeous Nigerian that I live with, the Africans in all our football teams but we do need to ensure that immigrants bring in skills that we need. That's why we have so many Polish builders here, they have skills that are in demand. They work for their living.

It is the scroungers we don't need, be they immigrants who come over here to claim benefit for nothing or the people who think that it is their right to have as many children as they like and the state will pick up the bill.
