For when usacanary rises from his pit
Re that "huge debt" that Charlton have; it is 23 mill, about the same as ours.
And in between years 1 & 2 of their parachute payment CAFC cut their wages by 30 per cent.
What did NCFC do at the same stage? Make a cut of 2.6 per cent.
The simple thing is we spend too much on wages. It might have worked twice but when it fails it leaves us deeper in the mire.
Last season we spent 8.5 million on footballing wages and got relegated to the third tier. Which part of that 'gamble' was in any way worth the risk?
