an interesting fact about the sail in dubai....

google it and look at the images of it. you wont see any images from a certain angle. This is because that angle has been blocked as it is an embarrasment to the people in dubai.

the reason:

the sail was designed by a western architect who decided to incorporate the christian crucifix into the design, the crucifix was included in the design to point towards Mecca of all places!!

see this pic and you'll see a side shot of the sail and see roughly the crucifix i'm talking about pointing towards the right of the photo.
