FAO: Anyone remotely interested in Magpieage. IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS...
Just as I was getting the hang of Norwoci results being directly attributable to the proportion and frequency of magpie sightings, developments this morning have thrown everything up in the air and equasions out the window.
I'm used to frequent magpie sightings around Nasie Towers in Nottingham, and quite often hear their shrill callings in my garden. However an unparalleled event this morning has left me in deep shock, and at a total loss as to how our fortunes could and indeed may play out on Saturday.
I was standing close to my bedroom this morning getting dressed when I spotted three magpies on the front lawn of the house adjacent. Just as I was mulling over the ponderables of a trio of big ol' birds, they were joined by a fourth. Then a fifth, and just as I was taking in the increasing throng, yet one more joined the tittering (collective noun for a group of magpies).
So let's get this straight. Six magpies congregating in the environs of my home, before flying off one-by-one as quickly as they had arrived.
What can this mean for us?
Six ghouls on Satdee?
Six more points for the rest of the season?
Six the mark of the beast?
I need help.
